JHG, in partnership with the Centre for Initiatives on Children, Youth and Community at Carleton University, is working with the Sustainable Communities Initiative (SCI) – a multifaceted collaboration between oil and gas companies and Indigenous communities, partners and stakeholders in the oil sands region of northern Alberta. This deep collaboration focusses on advancing the social dimension of sustainable development, taking a multi-year approach.
JHG’s Amy Knobelsdorf and Wanda Jamieson are contributing to SCI in a number of areas: research; performance measurement and evaluation; experiential learning strategies; development of collaborative mentorship tools and strategies; and, capacity development and support for those involved in the initiative.
