JHG is providing specialist expertise to Public Works and Government Services Canada, and the Canadian Conservation Institute, on heritage preservation and conservation projects taking place within the Supreme Court of Canada building and collection. Designed by noted Canadian Architect Ernest Cormier, the spectacular chateau styled building incorporates Art Deco elements in the design of its interior and furniture. JHG has provided expertise in the assessment, care and maintenance of the courts bespoke furniture as part of the Cormier Furniture Survey. Our work has included the development of a detailed methodology to guide future practitioners. For more information on the Supreme Court of Canada building and collection, visit www.scc-csc.gc.ca
